Elkhart County MedReturn Boxes
Many individuals who abuse prescription drugs first get them from a relative or a friend. By pledging to properly dispose of unused medications, we can all play a role in reducing prescription drug abuse.
Unused medications should not be flushed or thrown away. Flushed medications enter our water system, where they may have a negative effect on the environment and eventually the health of everyone in the community.
Instead, you can deposit unused or unwanted medications in one of the MedReturn boxes located throughout Elkhart County. This is a free and anonymous service (you can even remove any medication labels or simply place your pills in a plastic bag).
You can rest assured that your local law enforcement agencies will take it from there.
